I truly think we should all start building bigger bookshelves instead of getting bigger TVs and the newest iphones.
Words Matter...
There’s this new craze going around — some stupid saying that everyone’s picked up: “6–7.”
It means nothing. Literally nothing. I even looked it up, and the definition says nothing.
And yet… everyone’s saying it. Kids, adults — all repeating it like it’s some inside joke of society that doesn’t even exist.
But here’s the thing: that’s what makes me uneasy. It’s like a subtle echo of something I’ve read before — George Orwell’s 1984.
Remember how “2 + 2 = 5” wasn’t really about math? It was about control. About language. About reality itself being twisted until people forgot how to think clearly.
When words start meaning nothing, or when we start using them without thinking, something dangerous happens. We start getting comfortable with emptiness. We stop questioning. We stop paying attention.
And once you see it — really see it — you can’t unsee it. You start noticing how often people repeat things they don’t even understand. How often we trade real connection for trends that say nothing at all.
I know it might sound small, like who cares if kids say “6–7.” But it’s not small. It’s a symptom. It’s a reminder that language shapes our thoughts, and thoughts shape our world.
So yeah — words matter. Always have. Always will.
Be careful what you repeat. Because one day, if we’re not paying attention, “nothing” might start to mean everything.
Start paying attention to the words you use — and the ones you absorb.
